Andrew Napier's Bio

Andrew Napier currently attends high school in Mauston, Wisconsin. He has been involved in film production since the age of nine when he learned how to edit video on his home computer. His interests and expertise quickly expanded to include DVD Encoding and Authoring, Digital Video Compositing, and Web Design. He offers these and other services through Napier Films, a business he established in 2003.

Andrew's primary passion remains film making. He has experimented with topics and techniques and has produced numerous short films for Mauston School District and over 30 personal clients. He has also produced a training video for the company Body Scanning CRM, which reaches retail audiences throughout the United States and Canada .

In the summer of 2003 Andrew traveled through England, Ireland, and Wales with the People to People Student Ambassador Program. The documentary he created of this journey was awarded first place in the nation wide Special Correspondent contest sponsored by the Student Ambassador Program. In addition the trip leaders nominated Andrew as Student Ambassador of the Year.

Currently Andrew is working on the documentary “Keeping the Spirit” for the Panther Spirit Effigy Mound Project in Mauston, Wisconsin. This film highlights the unique story of how a small rural community brought together students, teachers, archaeologists and the Ho-Chunk Nation to successfully restore and preserve a 1000 year old Panther Effigy Mound in the heart of the town. It has been Andrew's most satisfying and challenging project to date.

When Andrew is not filming he enjoys extracurricular activities in high school. He has medaled in forensics and in 2005 was selected as the sole representative of Mauston High School to participate in the Wisconsin Leadership Seminar. He also enjoys competitive tennis, cross county, and spending time with his family.
