06/15/05 - The Panther Spirit Effigy Mound Project is publicly recognized by Arts & Entertainment/History Channel and Charter Communications at the 1/2 scale Panther Mound at Olson Middle School in Mauston.. Rose Clark of the Juneau County Historical Society is presented with a simulated $10,000 check acknowledging the grant award. Students, teachers and project partners from Mississippi Valley Archaeology Center, the Ho-Chunk Nation and the Wisconsin State Historical Society are all in attendance.

Christine Smith, representing The Arts & Entertainment Channel, acknowledges the Mauston Community as a role model for other towns who could work with the Save Our History foundation towards preservation projects.. The Save Our History Foundation presented Olson Middle School with this sign which was erected at the site of the 1/2 scale Panther Mound at Olson Middle School.
